Belize - Cody and Taylor Griggs

Belize is a small country, home to only about 500,000 people. Even as small as it is, there are at least two un-reached people groups remaining in Belize - English-speaking Jews and multicultural Muslims. For the last several years, there has only been one missionary in Belize. We are ecstatic to report that there is now an incoming group of 6 missionary units who have felt the call to Belize. In addition to the spiritual needs of the un-reached, Belize is in great need of discipleship. Of all the countries in Latin America with an Assemblies of God presence, Belize is the only one to never send out its own missionaries. Our goal is simple - come alongside the local church by supporting current pastors and training and teaching future pastors, and helping them disciple and equip their own flocks to do the work of the ministry.

Colombia - Isaiah and Heather Mattocks

The Mattocks family lives in the beautiful city of Santa Marta, Colombia. They have the privilege to work along side veteran missionaries and plant churches all along the northern coast in Barranquilla, Cartagena and Santa Marta. Right now in Santa Marta alone, there are over about 30,000 Venezuelan refugees living on the streets. We are believing Matthew 9:37 “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask Him to send more workers into His fields.” We are saying yes to the people who may feel no love, even from their country. A people who may have never heard there is a heavenly Father who loves them and wants a personal relationship with them. A Father who has a plan and purpose for each and every child living in those coastal cities.

Costa Rica - David and Amy Cartwright

We are David, Amy, Maggi, and Emma Cartwright.  We are working in the country of Costa Rica.  For the last 10 yrs we have worked with the indigenous groups.  While we continue to work with these groups, our focus has shifted to building a premier leadership development tool.  The Sarapiqui campus of the Alcance Bible school aims to provide both an undergraduate program and the first local graduate program in Central America for the Assemblies of God.  It will provide theologial minisry leadership degrees as well as business and vocational degrees.  The key to this school will be the addition of a business as mission element that will provide for the financial needs of the school.  We will be building a retreat center, sports and special event venues, sustainable farm to table agricultural projects and an auto and metal fabrication shop.  This will provide a work study program where the students earn their tuition and raise resources to plant churches and send missionaries around the world.

CUBA - Paul and Lana Duda

Paul and Lana Duda are assigned to the LAC Cuba Network.  They work with house churches and recently finished and dedicated "Christ Breaks the Chains AG" in Antilla. Cuba is a country in revival for many years, and they add, "We are so blessed to assist this dynamic national church." Since 2009 they have assisted with the establishment of over 200 house churches. NLFC has participated financially in the missionary work of Paul and Lana Duda, as well as having scheduled short term trips to Cuba.

Dominican Republic - Adam and Melissa Tvedt

In baseball the double play is called "the pitchers best friend." A double play helps the defensive team get out of a difficult situation during the course of the game. Our purpose is to rescue those that are in difficult situations in life and Turn2 the one that can set them free and give them new life. By partnering with local churches we believe that lives, families, churches and communities will be forever changed by Turning2 Jesus!  Our desire is to Reach, Restore and Release.  We want to Reach families and young people in the DR by using baseball as a tool of outreach.  We want to Restore their HOPE in the Saving Grace of Jesus Christ and then Release them to build the Kingdom of Heaven.

ECUADOR – Mario and Liz Romero

ECUADOR - HENRY AND IVONNE SMITH

Following a “holy hunch,” Henry and Ivonne arrived in April of 2010 with no more than a prayer, two tarps, and a few volunteers to one of the unreached slums of Guayaquil, Ecuador.  The urban slums of the world,  are the fastest growing unreached people group on earth, made up in large part of women and children who are some of the most receptive to the gospel. NLFC established missionary relationships in Ecuador in May of 2024.

GUATEMALA - Randall and Jackie Darby

From 1998 through 2012 the Darby’s served as Guatemala Country Directors for Go To Nations. They brought oversight and care to the team of missionaries that God entrusted to them. During that time, God gave them a vision to build and establish a Ministry Base, which is now a reality and located just outside of Guatemala City. This awesome ministry tool continues to be a huge blessing to many and is used for various ministry gatherings as well as hosting teams. Initially they started the ministry El Oasis and for 17 years shared the Gospel with women who worked in prostitution. Now they are more passionate than ever to see people’s lives transformed by God’s saving grace.  As directors of Start With One Global they are involved in food distribution and are focused on igniting the passion of Christ in people’s lives. NLFC has participated financially in the missionary work of the Darby’s for over 30 years. With boots on the ground, NLFC has also sent members of our church family to Guatemala to assist in food distribution and evangelization.
